a slavery fact

1. Enslaved Africans came primarily from a region stretching from the Senegal River in northern Africa to Angola in the South.
2. Europeans divided this stretch of land into five coasts:
Upper Guinea Coast: The area delineated by the Senegal and Gambia Rivers
Ivory (or Kwa Kwa or Windward) Coast:Central Liberia
Lower Guinea Coast: Divided into the Gold Coast on the west (Cote d'Ivoire and Ghana), the Slave Coast (Togo, Benin, and western Nigeria), and the Bight of Benin (Nigeria and Cameroon)
Gabon
Angola
3. The Angolan coast supplied nearly half the slaves sent to the Americas.

Muhammad

I knew muhammad was a storng boy, hr had fought a sin-baa all by himself ,"when he was a boy he got trapped by a sin-baa"-1864(pg.18.).I would fell so scared being trapped in by a lion like creature NO way out. After the fight some other black men came out and caught muhammad while he was lying down on the ground.Awhile later muhammad was taken to a salve ship and put on it. Muhammad did'nt evan know where he was heading ,Just think imagin a stranger throwing you in a car and driving somwhere to put you to work for your life. The ship conditions where horible."you would get water twice a day and food once "-(pg.6) imagin that with the pain of shacels rubbing agianst your open wound! muhammad had a friend to thank for telling him how to stop it.-"If he held his knees high, the shackles would not rub against the raw spots on his ankles"-(pg.6),also the smell of rotting flesh and sewage evrywhere. That would be one thing i could never go through but for muhammad he would keep telling himself that he is a man he is a man. by sander

Lizzy

Lizzy lizzy lizzy, i was a cousin of Lizzy's we worked on the glory field together for many years we were both born into slavery we would work all day long no pay.The year was 1864 during the civil war you could hear the sound of the booming guns in the distanca but they were far, i had seen latley that lizzy was not as joyfull as always i think she was sad that joshua and lem had run away and was scared for what might have happened to them. I would have been scared if i knew that my freinds had run away for freedom.I had heard that they had sent riders to find them but they had not found anything yet,and back at the area where we stayed i had heard talk about lem and jashua and why they had run away they had said something about a freedom dream?.Later that evening i could hear the souds of horses and somthing dragging i ran outside and so did lizzy and we could see a figer behind the horse what could it be?
LEM! i had found out after that lizzy was called in to "clean the kitchen" by miss.julia i knew something was up so i peaked throgh the small window.Miss.julia was acting all high in mighty by saying "lizzy ,i've been good with havent I?"-(pg.25) and also "when this war is over I am going to buy you from daddy".-(pg.26).Later that eveing Lizzy had came back from the talk and had told everyone that they did not really talk about anything and later lizzy had gone to take water to lem i had followed her just to make sure she would be ok, and i could see her giving him sips of water and blood coming down his head but all of the sudden CRACK! CRACK! lizzy was hit in the back i had ducked for cover and once more CRACK! she was bleeding and out of no where THUG! mr.joe hans had been tackeled by........is that..Joshua hed had come back and i guess was watching lem.I would have felt so much pain if i had been wipped. So once joshua had captured mr.joe hans lizzy was told to go tell the others that they were running away with her i had wanted to go with them so joshua had told lizzy to hurry or eles he would kill mr.joe hans and so lizzy had hurried and had gotten back and there they were off on there journy lizzy was not sure whathad happened to mr.joe hans.
They were not sure if they would be cased after or when they would come but later when we were walking you could hear the dods comming so he hid in a tree till they had dissaperd but where was joshua??.Later the next eveing we had sent out to find joshua but we could then hear the dogs and riders we ran super fast to get away until we stuppled apon a fire with many black soilders this was are safe haven they were YANKEES!
Later that eving we searched for jashua and found him and lem and jaoshua had deiced to fight with the yankees, i had done so the same but for lizzy i was not sure we marched away from the camp and there we were going to fight for freedom.
